The Gain Stage is a Washington State nonprofit dedicated to making music and the arts accessible — not just as something to watch, but as something to do, learn, and build a life around.
The creative world is full of roles most people never get told about: sound engineers, lighting operators, event producers, gear technicians, educators, organizers, and collaborators of every kind. We think everyone deserves a way in. So we build it together.
We're volunteer-fueled, community-driven, and rooted in the Tri-Cities. We don't have all the answers — but we believe the people in this community do, and we're here to help share them.
The Gain Stage exists to provide entry points into music and the arts, build real skills and career pathways in local creative industries, and expand access to arts education and engagement — especially for those who've faced barriers getting there.
We do that through hands-on workshops, shared resources, mentorship, and a community that shows up for each other.
Our programs are shaped by what the community tells us it needs. They're practical, participatory, and open to everyone — whether you're brand new or bringing skills you've had for years and want to pass on.
